ECOEM ensures regulatory compliance for its Members regarding the obligations of Producers/Importers and Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment and/or batteries under current legislation.
The Consortium enables compliance with the principles of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for equipment placed on the National market. Acting as the sole certified provider for all categories of EEE and/or Batteries and accumulators.
Through an efficient and virtuous collection system, the Producer participates in the collective financing of activities that ensure proper collection, transportation, treatment, and recycling of end-of-life technological waste, directing them to specialized facilities, ensuring compliance with current laws and providing a valuable contribution to the environment.
The ECOEM Consortium serves as the SOLE point of contact for Producers / Importers to address simply, safely, and efficiently the requirements for equipment placed on the National market, such as:
- Regulatory Compliance
- Management and registration in the Producers Registry
- Operational Support and Assistance
- EEE/Battery marking and labeling
- Regulatory Updates
- Issuance of certificates and attestations
