As of May 7, 2025, the portal for the National Register of Producers (RENAP) is active.
The RENAP, established by Article 178-ter, paragraph 8, of the Legislative Decree. no. 152/2006, represents the register of entities subject to an extended producer responsibility (EPR) regime.
All producers of products subject to an extended responsibility regime are required to register with the RENAP through enrollment in the specific supply chain register and to electronically communicate the data related to the products placed on the national market, as well as the methods by which they intend to fulfill their obligations and report on the management carried out.
The RENAP portal integrates existing registers, such as the “EEE Register” and the “Battery and Accumulator Register.” Additionally, the “Tire Register” will be added, with registrations starting on May 14, 2025.
The RENAP ensures interconnection with the Business Register, the National Register of Environmental Managers, and the Database of the single declaration model as per the law of January 25, 1994, no. 70, for data consistency and simplification of compliance.
