About Us
ECOEM is one of the main recognized National Collective Systems certified for the management of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), Batteries, Accumulators, and domestic and professional photovoltaic modules. Founded in 2008, the Consortium is accredited by MASE (Ministry of Environment and Energy Security) with the aim of assisting Producers / Importers and Distributors in complying with WEEE and Battery legislation requirements in a virtuous, certified, and cost-effective manner.

Operating throughout the National territory, the Consortium plays a fundamental role in the ecological transition process and achievement of the country’s objectives regarding the recycling of end-of-life technological waste. Through an accredited supply chain, the ECOEM Consortium ensures high quality standards in recycling and treatment processes, in full compliance with environmental regulations, creating value and benefit for stakeholders and the environment.
What We Do
ECOEM represents the certified financing system to support the collection, transportation, treatment, and recycling operations of WEEE and Batteries in Italy. The Consortium ensures the proper treatment of end-of-life technological waste, delivering it to authorized treatment facilities, preventing the release of harmful substances into the environment and ensuring the recovery of valuable raw materials for reintegration into the production cycle.
The ECOEM Consortium is also a Partner for companies that fall within the scope of EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) in waste streams related to electrical and electronic equipment “EEE”, batteries, and photovoltaic modules, ensuring their compliance with current legal requirements in a virtuous and sustainable manner.
