About us

The ECOEM Consortium is the National Collective System recognized by the Ministry of the Environment and certified for the management of WEEE, Batteries and Accumulators, both domestic and professional photovoltaic modules, founded in 2008 to facilitate the application on the market of the Legislative Decree n°49/2014 of the Legislative Decree n°188/2008 and its subsequent integrations and / or modifications.

Founded to assist the producers / importers and distributors, called to fulfill the legal obligations deriving from the directives in force on technological equipment placed in the National territory, the ECOEM Consortium represents the choice of over 300 members between Italian and foreign companies that confirm their environmental commitment.

ECOEM is a non-profit Consortium, member of the National WEEE Coordination Center and Batteries and Accumulators Coordination Center, as well as accredited by the GSE (Energy Services Manager) for the management of photovoltaic modules at the end of their utility.

Mission

Active throughout all the national territory, ECOEM provides services in all the categories of products provided by the Decree WEEE, Batteries and Accumulators (Legislative Decree n°49/2014) and (Legislative Decree n°188/2008) and Photovoltaic equipment.

The Consortium manages the gathering, transport, treatment, recycling and disposal of WEEE, domestic and professional Batteries and Accumulators and Photovoltaic Equipment, according to the laws in force.

Promotion of recycling culture aimed at protection of the environment.

Support and consultation aimed at Manufacturers/ Importers of EEE, Batteries and Accumulators, Photovoltaic that according to the current laws are obliged to comply with a series of regulatory compliances.

Environmental solutions and contained costs management to enable companies to become more competitive on the market.

ECOEM supports companies adhering to the correct environmental fulfillment and in the implementation of an efficient and competitive management of technological products at the end of their utility.
