WEEE LEGISLATIONS

WEEE in other words (waste from electrical and electronic equipment) are governed by the European Directive 2012/19/EU that is the Legislative Decree 49//2014 which replaces the previous 2002/96/EU and 2003/108/EU. The ECOEM Consortium supports companies for the correct fulfillment of current directives.

LEGISLATION ON BATTERIES AND ACCUMULATORS

The Batteries and Accumulators are controled by the Legislative Decree n°188/2008, which implemented the European Directive 2006/66/EC in Italy. The ECOEM Consortium supports companies for the correct fulfillment of current directives.

LEGISLATION ON PHOTOVOLTAIC

With the implementation of the European Directive 2002/96 /EU, photovoltaic modules have become part of the field of application of EEE (in other words electrical and electronic equipment) and therefore managed at the end of life in the same way as WEEE.

Exclusively for the modules installed in photovoltaic systems with incentives after 30 June 2012, IV and V Energy bill, it is expected that the responsible party is required to transmit to the Energy Service Manager the certificate issued by the manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, certifying membership of the accredited Consortium (ECOEM is accredited by the Energy Service Manager) that guarantees, by the same manufacturer, the recycling of photovoltaic modules used at the end of their useful utility.

The ECOEM Consortium is accredited by the Energy Service Manager for the collection, withdrawal, treatment and recycling of photovoltaic modules at the end of their utility.
